Ocean Aid is a campaign created to raise awareness about the pollution collecting in our oceans and inspire community action to keep our oceans clean. Co-founded by eco-entrepreneur, Anthony Zolezzi, Ocean Aid uses new technology, social media and group collaboration to educate about the importance of oceans as our life support system.
Melissa McGinnis is producer and host for Greenopolis TV, where she has developed a Web- based show in which she offers useful information and advice on conserving resources and protecting the environment. She is also head of Melissa McGinnis Productions, which specializes in eco-oriented marketing designed to appeal to “millennials” – those consumers born between 1980 and 2000. Her company has been engaged by major manufacturers to reach this specific group with news of what they are doing to promote various “green” causes.
Melissa’s global travels as an environmental advocate and activist have made her particularly aware of the defining role that the ocean plays in the lives and livelihoods of people in many different countries and of the vital importance of its restoration and protection.
